Ibrahim Shaddad

Ibrahim Shaddad, né à Halfa au Soudan en 1945, a étudié à la Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. Il a écrit et réalisé de nombreux films et quelques pièces de théâtre. Pratiquement tous les films et pièces de théâtre au Soudan ont été abandonnés par les producteurs ou interdits par les gouvernements. Il est membre fondateur du Sudanese Film Group et membre du comité de rédaction du magazine Cinema.

Ibrahim Shaddad’s graduation film JAGDPARTIE, (which he shot at the Deutsche Hochschule für Filmkunst Potsdam-Babelsberg (now: Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF), is a treatise on racism. Shot in a forest in Brandenburg, it uses a Western look to portray the hunt for a Black man.

Ibrahim Shaddad

Ibrahim Shaddad, born in Halfa, Sudan in 1945, studied at the Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. He has written and directed many films and some plays. Practically all films and plays in Sudan were discontinued by producers or banned by governments. He is a founding member of the Sudanese Film Group and a member of the editorial board of the magazine Cinema.

Le film de fin d’études d’Ibrahim Shaddad, JAGDPARTIE (1964), qu’il a tourné à la Deutsche Hochschule für Filmkunst Potsdam-Babelsberg (aujourd’hui : Filmuniversität Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF), est un traité sur le racisme. Tourné dans une forêt du Brandebourg, il utilise un aspect western pour dépeindre la chasse à un homme noir.
